Reg Johnson and Bud Swarbrick have been producing their famous poultry since the 1960’s and now have a reputation with numerous top chefs and the public for some of the finest in the country. The geese are raised at Swainson Farm which is located in the picturesque village of Goosnargh on the edge of the Ribble Valley.
Reg is passionate about the way he rears all his poultry and takes great care to ensure they have the highest welfare standards.The Geese he supplies us are free range and live in small flocks with twice the amount of recommended living space. All of the Geese are raised on a GM free, cereal diet which Reg mixes himself on site and he is the only poultry farm in the country to do this.
When you try a Goosnargh Goose you will instantly notice it roast’s to a fantastically crisp finish and sumptuously rich flesh. This is because all the birds are dry plucked and then hung to help intensify the flavour. page 2
The Goosnargh Goose comes prepared in the traditional manner ready for the oven and giblets are included which is an essential for making great stock.
